Deep Creek Cabin
Located on famous Lake Laberge, this recently built rustic-luxury cabin is a real Yukon retreat. Built with historic items recovered from the days when paddle-wheelers worked the Yukon waters, it is decorated with gold pans, old ship lines, boat siding, and mining relics.
Sit on the cabin deck and enjoy your morning breakfast looking over the beautiful Lake Laberge. For lunch or dinner, use the kitchenette or on-site BBQ; live the good life! Nestled in the friendly Deep Creek neighbourhood, the cabin offers nearby access to wilderness hikes and bikes. If fishing or getting out on the water is your pleasure, you can rent a canoe nearby and try your luck at catching a pike or a lake trout.
The waterfront cabin is only a few feet from the creek leading to the lake.
Once you’ve explored the hikes and viewpoints of the area come back to the quiet cabin and relax in the hammock. If you are lucky you can see beavers swimming in the creek and eagles soaring above the spruce trees.
The cabin is a perfect getaway for two. Cosy up with the propane wall heater, and take advantage of the fully stocked kitchen with an induction stove-top, BBQ, dishes, pots, coffee percolator, etc. Water jugs are provided, with replacements available. You’ll need to be comfortable with ladders to get to the bedroom loft. There is an on-site outhouse and the nearby Takhini Hot Springs is an excellent and enjoyable choice for both showering and soaking.
The cabin is on a shared property with your hosts who are friendly, quiet, helpful, and available if needed.
